Mom’s are so special. Their love surpasses the understanding of a youngster’s brain, but what is even more amazing, is that it is universal. So this is a letter to my mom, and all the mom’s out there; you rock.
You were totally right mom
You were right. Life is hard, that boy did suck, I should not have gotten that bob in 2014. Thank you for sitting back and letting me learn. Thank you for realizing I have to live life on my own. Most of all thank you for being there when I fell, for not saying I told you so, for simply whispering I am here.
You don’t give yourself enough credit
You are so beautiful. Light shines from you, enough to power the world (and some days I believe it does). Don’t be too hard on yourself. You are treasured and fearfully and wonderfully made to be exactly who you are. The woman I needed.
You’re not failing your children. Someday’s you may yell and scream and break down but you are not failing. I promise I see and remember your moments of love and teaching much more than I ever remember the hard days. YOU ARE ENOUGH.
Yes I do still need you
I am in college. I am an adult.(?) But I will always need you. I will need you for your perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, and the days I’m feeling sad. I will need you to still be my friend and love me like you always have. I need you now at nineteen, and I’ll need you at forty-five. A mom is something I can’t replace and so I’ll never try.

This was such a beautiful post! I loved it! 🙂
