Baby and Toddler Bath Essentials

When I was in the thick of my pregnancy loss, I remember thinking about all the small moments I was missing. I kept thinking about watching my little one play happily in the tub. Splashing and babbling. It made my heart ache.

The joy of those moments now are multiplied ten fold. I get to experience those precious moments and I never want to take them for granted. Now bath time is SO fun with my toddler.

Here are 4 essentials we love.

1.      Scoops and Boats

We love this set of scoops and boats. My little loves to watch the boats and scoop and splash the cups. I love that each scoop nests in each other and has coordinating numbers and sizes to practice differentiation as he gets older.

2.      Whale Fountain

This whale fountain is a bundle of fun. I won’t lie, at 11 months my son was not sure about the spraying water. His first encountered ended in tears when he first experienced the water spraying his face. Now, he won’t take a bath without it.

3.      Squirt Animals

These fun animals fill and spray water. My little loves to see the bubbles when he squeezes them under water. I love that they come apart so they dry fully and DON’T MOLD.

4.      Mesh Bath Bag

Speaking of mold free essentials, storing toys up on the wall in a mesh bag is a must! Its important that the air can get to the toys and help them all dry out.

Bonus: Bath Time Tips

My absolute best hack for bathing a baby is using some bamboo swaddles right in the tub. Babies are so slippery and having some extra grip can be so helpful in the early months. I used these when I would bathe with my baby too.

A non slip bath mat is also a must as they start to get older. Early walkers are so brave and begin to toddle around a full tub. (Ask me how I know?)

XOXO,

Madison
