Journey to a Better Me

I used to have a very unhealthy relationship with food. I was an emotional eater. I used food to fill the voids in my life. I used food as a crutch, as a filler for boredness, and even as a filler for my water intake.

Sugar controlled me. If there was a dessert in my house I was more than likely going to have more than a normal portion after every dinner AND lunch.

I didn’t face these problems head-on. About three years ago I made a change in my life. I put my physical health and well being as a priority and began to make changes. I started implementing consistent workouts and better portion control I  lost 20 lbs and changed my life for the better.

The physical transition was amazing and I have come along way. The food addiction was still there though, I knew I still needed to improve. The beginning of this year I was stressed to the max in the thick of college classes and still dealing with cravings and an unhealthy relationship with food and dieting.

A few months ago I was introduced to a wellness system that has changed my life. These past few months have completely changed my relationship with food. I eat to fuel my body. I feel stronger, MORE full, MORE satisfied, and have an abundance of energy to tackle my day.

Do not misunderstand me, I LOVE food. I still enjoy it immensely but now it is in a much healthier way. My cravings have been put to rest and I can easily pass up less healthy options for something more satiating and overall better for me. I have continued to improve and grow in my wellness and fitness journey. (Check out this post for a look at my fitness routine.)

I am so thankful for a lifestyle that truly fuels me to do everything I want and need to throughout the day! I want to share this with you.
